Charles Vella, whose wife Marilyn served as the school’s secretary for many years, wrote to share his memory of his daughter Maya digging the first shovel full of dirt, but he was not certain of the actual date of the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Nancy Mayeda Campus.
Lemanski & Rockwell Architects (formerly Bowles & Lemanski Architects) and STRUCTUS websites share some of the details of the Rooftop Elementary School’s Mayeda Campus construction and completion in 1997.
