Mayeda Campus Dedication Ceremony Program (1997)

Printed tri-fold program for the Dedication Ceremony of the Nancy Yoshihara Mayeda Campus on April 29, 1997 at 10:00a.m. The program includes the event program, special acknowledgements, and a biography of the Rooftop School principal.

Nancy Yoshihara Mayeda spent her kindergarten, first and second grade years in an internment camp in Minadoka, Idaho during World War II.  She was hired by the San Francisco Unified School district in June 1960, a time when “the concept of a Japanese American principal was unthinkable.”
