Educator’s Guide created for the de Young Museum’s retrospective, “The Sculpture of Ruth Asawa: Contours in the Air,” which examined the national significance of Asawa’s personal artistic vocabulary, spanning her early work at Black Mountain College to her monumental wire sculptures.
“The Sculptures of Ruth Asawa: Contours in the Air” exhibition at the de Young Museum, was the selected work of art for study in the inaugural year of Rooftop’s “Art Is” program.
